IRA vs. 401(k)

This is a deep dive video about the differences between IRA and 401(k). I worked with the senior producer of the team and another producer on the team for this video edit. I was given a script to follow that gave me guidance on how to arrange specific interview clips and voiceovers. After organizing those assets I moved on to adding b-roll, music, and text animations.

Throughout the process, I sent my rough cuts to the producers for feedback and I also gave my own feedback to them in terms of what I felt worked and didn’t work in the video.

Back to Business Series

I edited four videos in this series that featured top economists discussing what the future of the workforce will be after the pandemic. The original interviews were between 20-40 minutes long, my task was to create videos that were less than 15 minutes. In order to do this, I picked out the most interesting parts from the interviews and grouped them according to the topic being discussed. This makes it easier for the viewer to follow the different subjects being talked about.

In addition to arranging the clips, I added b-roll, music, and text animations to create engaging content. I created the YouTube thumbnails and edited the closed captioning files for each video. I worked closely with the senior producer to ensure that the videos clearly communicated the overarching theme of work post-pandemic.

Cade Cunningham Interview

I was given this task by a senior producer that doesn’t work directly on my team. It was a change from interviews I edited previously because it was sports-related. However, it was very similar to other videos I’ve worked on because I had to shorten this interview to get the most important/relevant sound bites. I added b-roll, stock images, and text animations. I successfully adapted to working with another producer to create this video.
